Ask a German
July 14th, 2008 by admin

Joseph from Hong Kong asked me what the word "turn" means. It is actually quite simple. We Germans are lazy people, if we are talking about. Therefore, we swallow sometimes letters. We are not talking of all the letters, and sometimes we are too lazy to do when writing. "Whistles" then, is the short form (conversational, not a written language!) For "it". So when I say: "Remember," it means "Remember." So does "turn" or "mind" and "something". Got that?
