Book Recommendation
December 9th, 2008 by admin

I'm often asked of you, which books by German authors I can recommend you. For me, it is difficult to assess which books are easily understood and which books are rather complicated. So I asked my friend Richard, an American, and advanced learners of German. He recommends the following books:

The Invention of Curried Sausage Mr. Lehmann Faserland

Momo Happy Birthday, Turk: A Novel Kayankaya: Happy Birthday Ta> Rke! I am not in Berlin: A Guide for lazy tourists

By the way, Richard has a podcast too , but one in English. Listen to some pure, it's about stories from San Francisco!

Oh, very nice that my recommendations had been accepted.

Would be even nicer if the whole audience would join in too - that is, well I need to read what is new!

Did you mention what value? Please make time to a comment.

Hello from beautiful San Francisco ...

Slow German is a good idea and I think it's helpful. Can you say something one day on popular hiking trails in Germany?

I live in Lake Tahoe, California

At first I wanted to thank you for slowgerman.com. Very interesting and well done.

In order to learn German as a foreign language, I like to foreign books that are written in German. They are easier than German books. I do like murder mystery and that's why I've read all of Kurt Wallander books by Henning Mankell. It was exciting. So I've learned a lot.

With the Butt by Günter Grass, I had no fun at all: it was really hard for me. I give up.

    Have fun in Munich.
